Volume 51: 8.8 cm Flak - Part 1: towed and stationary 8.8 cm Flak 18, 36 & 37

Dear customers,

we are delighted to announce the release of Nuts & Bolts Volume 51. The theme of this volume is the iconic 8.8 cm anti-aircraft gun in its Flak 18, 36 and 37 variants. This is arguably the best-known gun of the Second World War, loved by its operators and feared by its enemies. In this first volume on the subject, we begin by describing the towed and stationary guns during their period of service, from the 1930s right through to the end of the Second World War in May 1945. Spanning an estimated 296 pages, with 315 contemporary photographs and 145 images of the guns in various museums, as well as 129 drawings – both in black and white and in colour – by Laurent Lecocq, this well-known gun is presented in detail.

The planned publication date is 19th October 2026.

Combined orders of Vol. 51 plus additional older volumes will be shipped at once together with Vol. 51.
